Archival Giclée Prints
Ordering Original Archival Giclée
Art
Prints
We are
able to offer Fine Art
Images of original
photographs where
Photography and Fine
Art are combined.
Each photograph is
printed on either all
rag or all rag
watercolor
type
papers.
We use
a pigment ink
formulation called
Ultrachrome Inks, which
are not susceptible
to atmospheric fading
agents
and UV fading from
light. These
Ultrachrome inks
combined with
professional rag papers gives
a the highest quality
image and years of
enjoyable life, 100 years or
more. The
archival quality is so
good, that
we will replace
any image that is
defective for your
lifetime, no questions
asked.
Our process is almost
identical to that used by the Museum of Fine Arts
- Boston uses to produce
their Museum Quality prints. The MFA’s Archival Replicas
are produced on an Epson Stylus Pro 9600 ink-jet printer.
Our printer is the Epson Stylus Pro 4000
ink-jet printer,
which
uses the identical technology, inks and papers.
Our printer uses the 17" width papers.
Every image
is personally printed
by the photographer,
Rob Kipp and is pencil
signed. The
copyright
watermarks
shown on web low resolution images
are not on the
final prints you
purchase. Prints
are enclosed in a clear
protective
envelope with a
sheet of foam board
for protection until
framed. Our
images are
printed on Art Quality,
All Rag
buffered
paper and are shipped
flat ~ not rolled up
like commercial
printers. Posters are
also shipped flat.
All image on
this site may be
ordered in sizes of: 5x7"
- 8x10" -
11x15 - to 16" x 20" or
longer lengths known as panoramas. Most customers choose
to purchase just the print and do the matting and
framing themselves, locally.
Prints ordered
will be pencil signed
with title and
photographers
signature.
Matting is available for an extra cost and
will be off/white -
Nielsen Bainbridge -
Aplhacare, all
rag. Copyright notice
shown on the web, do
not appear on the
final signed prints
you receive. This is done to protect our
work from being taken without our consent.
Purchasing
our Signed Archival Giclée
Art
Prints.
Most of
our customers
purchasing from the web, purchase just the signed print
and do framing themselves. Use
the pricing from the top portion of this chart
for prints only, no mat or frame.
Pricing above (second section) includes
a Signed Art Print placed in
the mat or frame you have
selected. Use
the pricing on the bottom portion of the
above chart for framed & matted prints.
Dimensions are approximate as the
photographer
reserves artistic
license to create a better cropping.
However,
paper sizes used to render the finished
image will allow use of mats for standard size frames.
Archival
Prints on
Fine Art Watercolor
papers are sold with a lifetime
replacement
guarantee.
Our watercolor papers include Epson 100% cotton rag UltraSmooth
Fine Art paper, which is the
same paper used by the Museum of Fine Arts -
Boston to produce their faithful reproductions.
The Epson UltraSmooth Fine Art paper, is
a 100% rag, acid-free archival
ink-jet paper. This paper has an ink-jet coating that is engineered to give the
highest resolution and color saturation achievable with current digital printing
technology. UltraSmooth Fine Art
is a 100% cotton hot press mould-made paper with a natural ultra smooth finish
that offers outstanding color reproduction and image detail. Other papers we use are the Hahnemuhle PhotoRag
308/g. acid
free, a heavier Photo
Rag proves to be one of
our favorite papers with photographers. It
is a whiter paper than the UltraSmooth, has
a little more texture and is a little heavier
weight - therefore, customers who have seen
the differeence request the Hahnamhule PhotRag
watercolor paper for their prints almost every
time. We also special
order and use other textured papers
to your specifications and requirements. We
select what we consider
the best or most appropriate
paper match to print each Fine
Art print on. Our
Archival Fine Art prints are produced on a Epson
4000 printer.
